The district of Brzeg is situated in the western part of the Opole region, on the Lowland of Silesia, in the basin of the middle Odra river. The district occupies the area of 877 km 2 , where live 94.000 people. The population is concentrated in three towns: Brzeg, Grodków and Lewin Brzeski and also in three rural communes: Skarbimierz, Lubsza and Olszanka.

Der Kreis von Brzeg liegt im westlichen Teil der Opole Woiwodschaft, in der Niederung von Schlesien im Flussgebiet der mittleren Oder. Der Kreis umfass eine Fläche von 877 km2, die von 94 tausend Menschen bewohnt wird. Die Einwohner konzentrieren sich in drei Städten: Brzeg, Grodków und Lewin Brzeski und drei Dorfgemeinden: Skarbimierz, Lubsza und Olszanka.

Ludność skupiona jest w trzech miastach: Brzegu, Grodkowie i Lewinie Brzeskim oraz trzech gminach wiejskich: Skarbimierzu, Lubszy i Olszance.
